Become a Table Captain for CBCC's Gift of Life Breakfast!

Are you motivated to support access to breast health care for underserved women? If yes, sign up to serve as a Table Captain at our October 13th Gift of Life Breakfast!

Table captains are vital to our success and to increasing visibility of the Center, the only all-digital breast cancer screening facility in Southeast, DC serving uninsured and insured women with breast health services.

Each dollar we raise directly benefits the women we serve: $20 pays for mammography film for one patient $50 allows CBCC to provide breakfast for patients on cold mornings and $100 buys one mammogram for an uninsured patient; $1,000 provides a screening mammogram, transportation, diagnostic evaluation & follow up care.

The 2010 breakfast raised $125,000 for Capital Breast Care Center's programs and services. Together we have the potential change the lives of so many women and achieve another victory through our 5th anniversary breakfast! Table captain duties are not difficult. Follow the steps listed below to host your table with ease.

1. Register on our Gift of Life website. Invite 10-12 friends, family, colleagues or clients to join you at your table, informing them that we intend this one-hour breakfast to be an educational and inspirational program to encourage greater involvement with the Center through donations of time, financial support or in-kind services.

2. Ask your guests to RSVP.

3. Ensure your guests arrive on time and know where their seats are located. Approximately 500 guests will attend and understanding where to go and what time the event begins will make the Gift of Life Breakfast more enjoyable. We will provide you with directions, maps and other details.

4. Communicate with your guests that one of our key stakeholders will ask for donations at the end of the one-hour program. We do not obligate anyone to donate and stipulate no minimum donation. However, we ask each table to strive to reach a $1,000 fundraising goal.
